Thousands rally in US capital to defend voting rights
Friday marks the 63rd anniversary of the historic March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
In 1963, more than 250,000 people gathered at the Lincoln Memorial, where Rev.
Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech.
This year, thousands returned to the same site in Washington, D.C., to rally in defense of voting rights across the United States.
