China opposes attacks on civilians after Riyadh airport strike

China opposes attacks targeting civilians and civilian facilities and calls on all parties to avoid actions that could escalate regional tensions, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Monday in response to a question about Yemen's Houthi forces attacking King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Mao made the remarks at a press conference, urging the parties concerned to resolve differences and disputes through dialogue and negotiations and work toward peace and stability in the region as soon as possible.
