Peter Pau on how films can offer a window into China
Peter Pau, president of the jury at the 13th Silk Road International Film Festival and Academy Award-winning cinematographer, sees film as an important way for international audiences to understand China.
In an interview with CGTN, Pau discusses how films can reveal people's lives, concerns and emotions, and shares his view that Chinese filmmakers should focus first on telling compelling stories for audiences at home, allowing wider international interest to follow naturally.
