US Analyst: Global South is turning toward China

Ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, CGTN reporter Li Jingjing spoke with US geopolitical analyst and former intelligence advisor David Oualaalou, PhD, about China's role in the world.

He observes that China is not seeking global hegemony or trying to impose its governance model on others but is focused on sharing technology and development opportunities and helping countries build their own capacity.

This approach, he said, is gaining support across the Global South and is helping drive the shift toward a more multipolar world.
