​Iran’s Revolutionary ‌Guards Navy said it struck ​a ⁠Togo-flagged oil tanker ‌which was ⁠attempting ⁠to make an “illegal passage” ​through ‌the Strait of Hormuz, ‌Iranian ​state media ⁠said early on ‌Friday (September 18, 2026).

The tanker which was attacked on Thursday (September 17, 2026) came to ‌a halt ​after catching ⁠fire, the Revolutionary ⁠Guards Navy ‌added.
