A large number of devotees took part in 'Jhulan Seva' (Jhulan Yatra) at the Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan Temple, Hare Krishna Vaikuntam, Gambheeram in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
The Jhulan Yatra begins on Sravana Shukla Ekadashi (Pavitropana Ekadashi) and concludes on Sravana Purnima.
The deities of Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan were beautifully decorated and placed on a flower-adorned swing amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras by the priests. President of Hare Krishna Movement, Sriman Nishkrinchana Bhakta Dasa formally inaugurated the Jhulan Seva for Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan. Subsequently, devotees participated in offering Jhulan Seva to the Lord.
On this occasion, Mr. Dasa explained to the devotees the spiritual significance and importance of the Jhulan Utsava. The Jhulan Utsava will continue until August 28.
