The Erode North and South district units of the DMK staged a demonstration here on Saturday (September 12, 2026) condemning remarks made by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay about former Chief Minister M.K. Stalin in the State Legislative Assembly.
The demonstration was held near the Kalaimadu Silai area as part of protests organised by the party at district headquarters across the State. Former Minister and Erode South district secretary S. Muthusamy and Erode North district secretary N. Nallasivam led the protest. Erode MP and State deputy secretary of the DMK youth wing K.E. Prakash was present. Functionaries of the party’s youth, medical and literary wings and other office-bearers also took part. The protesters raised slogans condemning Mr. Vijay’s remarks.
