Parisarakkagi Naavu, an environmental organisation, is organising a workshop on preparation of clay Ganesha idols at Mathrumandali Vidya Samsthe in Vontikoppal from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday.
More than 200 students of Matrumandali Vidya Samsthe will participate in the workshop. Eight skilled artisans will teach the students how to make Ganesha idols using clay, said Parashuraramegowda of Parisarakkagi Naavu in a statement here.
“Our organisation has been conducting clay Ganesha-making workshops from the last five years to create awareness among the public about worshipping clay Ganesha idols instead of the ones that made by Plaster of Paris (PoP) and are painted during the Gowri-Ganesha festival,” said a statement by the organisers.
