Fulfilling a promise made during the ‘Palle Veekshana’ programme, District Collector Himanshu Shukla personally handed over a cheque of ₹80,000 as financial assistance to Eddula Kalyani, a woman entrepreneur from Jangalakandriga village in Muthukur mandal of SPSR Nellore district, during the PGRS programme at Thikkana Pranganam near the Collectorate here on Monday.

On the occasion, Mr. Shukla said, “Palle Veekshana programme is being conducted in the district not only to understand the local people’s issues but also to support their aspirations. The unique feature of this programme is that it goes beyond merely listening to public grievances.”

“The programme focuses on providing solutions while also identifying and encouraging talent, innovative ideas, and small-scale business ventures of women in rural areas. Beyond creating self-employment, this woman has stepped forward with a vision to expand her business of producing compost fertiliser that is beneficial to farmers,” he said.

Ms. Kalyani expressed happiness upon receiving the financial assistance and conveyed her gratitude to the Collector. DRDA Project Director Nagarajakumari was also present on the occasion.
