WhatsApp Reportedly Rolling Out New Search Shortcut for Chats and Channels on iOS
WhatsApp is bringing a new shortcut to its iOS app that lets users search within chats and channels more directly.
The option appears while scrolling through a conversation and reportedly opens the existing search mode with a single tap.
WhatsApp had previously tested the control at the bottom of the screen but has now moved it to the top.
The shortcut is included in version 26.36.74 and is being distributed gradually, meaning some users may have to wait before receiving it.
