The Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday issued a G.O. Ms.No.81, according permission to the A.P. Public Service Commission, State-Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), DSC etc., to fill 10,060 vacancies in various departments through direct recruitment as per the Job Calendar-2026.
These include 1,523 posts already notified by the Higher Education Department in Phase-I on May 15, 2026. The notification for the remaining posts: 3,231 in Phase-II will be issued on September 15, and 2,311 in Phase-III and 2,995 in Phase-IV—will be issued on October 15, 2026.
The G.O. said that the government has undertaken the recruitment exercise in a structured and phased manner through an Annual Job Calendar and its policy priorities were infrastructure creation, revenue mobilisation, education, welfare, law and order.
Considering these priorities, the Group of Ministers entrusted with employment generation examined the suitability and necessity of posts to be filled, and recommended rationalisation and prioritisation of the posts with reference to functional requirement, criticality of departments, public service delivery and the objectives of Swarnandhra- 2047 Vision.
Accordingly, the Job Calendar was finalised in consultation with the departments concerned. All administrative departments and HoDs were instructed to confirm the vacancy particulars, roster points, qualifications and other such required details for the posts in advance to the respective recruiting bodies, who were told to conduct the recruitment in strict compliance with the Presidential Order, 2025, reservation policy, relevant service rules, roster requirements and other applicable statutory government instructions.
A total of 149 vacancies are in APPSC Group-I services, while the number of vacancies in ‘other than Group - I services’ is 3,082. The vacancies in Group-II services are 673, while the number of vacancies in Engineering and Other Departments is 1,638. There are 2,995 vacancies in School Education Department.
