The 26th Annual Sports Meet of Shiksha Kendra Matriculation Higher Secondary School and Shiksha Greenwoods School was held in its campus at Pallikonda town in Vellore.
According to a press release, Olympian V. Devarajan, who was the chief guest, highlighted the importance of sports in developing discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills, and stressed the need for students to prepare themselves to become global citizens capable of competing on an international platform. He encouraged parents to provide their children with ample opportunities to participate in sports and extracurricular activities, thereby nurturing well-rounded growth alongside academic achievements.
Vivekananda House secured the March Past Shield, Mother Teresa House received the Discipline Shield, and Mahaveer House proudly lifted the Overall Championship Trophy.
The event was presided over by P.N.S. Thirunavukkarasu, chairman, Shiksha Schools, in the presence of T. Vijaya Thirunavukkarasu, vice-chairman, T. Kugan, correspondent, and K. Saranya Kugan, school senior principal, the release said.
