School bus overturns in Regidi mandal, 15 children injured

As many as 15 school children received injuries when a school bus overturned near Tunivada village of Regidi mandal of Rajam Assembly constituency limits on the morning of Tuesday (August 25, 2026).

According to police, the bus belonging to Tamminaidu schools of Palakonda, overturned in the paddy fields while travelling on a narrow road which had been damaged due to rains. The driver had failed to control the bus and it led to the accident.

The school children who received injuries were admitted to government hospital of Rajam immediately. Other children are safe were sent to their homes after the incident. The incident shocked parents and family members who rushed to the hospital to the see their children. Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy and Rajam MLA Kondru Muralimohan inquired about the incident and directed the doctors to take extra for their quick recovery.
