The Nagoba temple, dedicated to the serpent deity, at Keslapur village in Indervelli mandal of Adilabad district, was abuzz with devotees from different parts of the region on Monday on the occasion of Naga Panchami.
Devotees, including tribal and non-tribal people, thronged the temple and offered special prayers to Nagoba. Offering milk to the anthill located near the temple formed the key ritual of the celebrations.
Adilabad Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan visited the temple and reviewed the arrangements made in view of the large congregation.
Naga Panchami was celebrated with religious fervour at several places across north Telangana. Women offered prayers and milk at anthills as part of the traditional worship of the serpent deity.
