Flexi-cap funds attract nearly ₹50,000 crore during January-July 2026

Flexi-cap mutual fund schemes attracted nearly Rs 50,000 crore in net inflows during January-July 2026, marking a 27 per cent increase over the year-ago period, as investors increasingly favoured equity strategies that can dynamically move across market-cap segments.

The strong flow momentum has been accompanied by a sharp expansion in the investor and asset base.

Flexi-cap fund folios rose to 2.44 crore in July 2026 from 1.94 crore a year earlier, adding around 50 lakh investor accounts.

Assets under management of the category stood at around Rs 6 lakh crore as of July 2026, up from Rs 4.94 lakh crore in July 2025, according to data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi).

While monthly flows moderated in July, the category continued to command a significant share of equity mutual fund flows.

Flexi-cap funds received Rs 4,709 crore in July, compared with Rs 5,231 crore in June.
