72-year-old man falls to death from 18th floor of his apartment

A 72-year-old man died after falling from the 18th floor of an apartment complex near Tank Bund Road in the limits of the K.P. Agrahara Police Station on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Parameshwar, who was residing at ETA The Gardens apartment, along with his wife, daughter and son-in-law.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 1.45 p.m. A security guard noticed Parameshwar lying on the ground and alerted the police and his family members.
Preliminary inquiry based on his wife’s statement indicated that Parameshwar may have lost his balance while cleaning glass shards from the balcony and accidentally fallen from the 18th floor.
The body was shifted for post-mortem. The police have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) and are investigating the incident.
