Day after ferry overturns in Java Sea, Indonesia continues search for 129 missing

Rescue teams in Indonesia are working tirelessly in the Java Sea to locate 129 individuals who have gone missing after the Virgo Transport 8 ship, which had 243 passengers aboard, disappeared on Sunday.

To date, 108 people have been saved from the capsized ship, although ongoing efforts are challenged by adverse weather conditions and rough seas.

This tragic event follows a recent ferry tragedy in the Philippines.
