A woman devotee who unearthed a fake online ticket racket involving ‘Srichakra Archana’ tickets for the Dasara Utsavams atop Indrakeeladri has prompted temple officials to lodge a complaint with the NTR Commissionerate police on Saturday.

The devotee, who purchased a ‘Srichakra Archana’ ticket for ₹3,500 for October 18, grew suspicious and brought the matter to the notice of temple Executive Officer V. K. Seena Naik.

During an inquiry, temple officials found that an old ticket had been sold after its date was altered, officials said.

Mr. Naik said online tickets for Kunkuma Archana, Darshan and Chandi Homam for the ensuing Dasara Navarathri Utsavams had not yet been released. He cautioned devotees against purchasing tickets from unauthorised sources.

He appealed to the police to conduct a thorough probe into the racket and book those responsible.
