Awarapan 2 box office collection day 11: Awarapan 2 is proving that its box office run is far from slowing down. After a strong second weekend, the Emraan Hashmi -led sequel faced its second Monday with a major drop in audience turnout. However, despite the weekday slowdown, the film managed to stay steady and continued to attract audiences across cinemas. The film arrived in theatres on August 14 alongside Sunny Deol's Batwara 1947 and it has left the latter behind, giving it a tough competition.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Awarapan 2 collected ₹ 2.75 crore net in India on Day 11, August 24, taking its total India net collection to ₹ 139 crore. The film recorded around 10% overall occupancy across 11,344 shows on its second Monday. The film saw a 68.6% drop on its second Monday, collecting ₹ 2.75 crore net compared to ₹ 8.75 crore net on Sunday.

Awarapan 2 opened strongly at the box office with ₹ 22 crore net on Day 1. The Independence Day holiday gave the film an even bigger push on Day 2, when it recorded a 53.4% jump and earned ₹ 33.75 crore net, its highest single-day collection so far. It followed this up with ₹ 26 crore net on Day 3, taking its opening weekend total to ₹ 81.75 crore. The film crossed ₹ 100 crore in its first week and ended the opening week with ₹ 113.50 crore net in India.

The next big milestone for Awarapan 2 is the ₹ 150 crore mark in India, while its worldwide run is even closer to another major achievement. With ₹ 196.55 crore already in the bag globally, the film needs just ₹ 3.45 crore more to enter the ₹ 200 crore club. If it gets there, this film will become Emraan Hashmi's first solo film to cross ₹ 200 crore worldwide.

Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt, Awarapan 2 brings Emraan Hashmi back as Shivam Pandit. The film also features Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi in key roles, with Puran Gabbi, Anirudh Rawal, Surendar Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and Atul Kumar rounding out the cast.

With the film excelling in theatres, is Awarapan 3 in the works? I am yet to hear from him what his plans are. I hope he thinks of it soon, of taking it forward soon, and then we'll see what it is. I'm very excited.”
