Bob Barker spent nearly $1m to move 3 elephants to sanctuary in 2013
In a major win for animal welfare, three elderly elephants—Iringa, Toka, and Thika—have journeyed from Toronto Zoo to a sanctuary thanks to Bob Barker's generous funding of nearly $1 million.
Their four-day trek concluded at the Performing Animal Welfare Society in California, where they will need time and veterinary expertise to adjust after decades of captivity.
This move symbolizes hope for the future of the elephants and advocates alike.
