Google Gemini Live Could Get an Ephemeral Video Mode for More Private AI Sessions

Google could be developing a temporary video option for Gemini Live, according to an APK teardown of the Google app.

References found in an Android app build mention an “Ephemeral Video Mode in Live”, although the strings do not explain how the feature would work.

The discovery has also raised a possible link to Gemini's temporary chats, which currently do not support Live sessions.

Google has not confirmed the feature, and its final implementation could differ from what the teardown suggests.
