Xiaomi’s newly announced sub-brand Mijia has launched its first set of products in India in the form of two new air purifiers, the Mijia Smart air purifier 6 and Mijia Smart air purifier 4 Compact. With Mijia, the Chinese smartphone major aims to cater the large appliances segment.

These new Mijia air purifiers will also be sold through quick commerce platform, Blinkit. Xiaomi will offer servicing through its premium service outlets across the country.

Mijia Smart air purifier 6 can cater larger spaces of up to 940 sq. ft. based on 2 air changes per hour (ACPH). It can take particle CADR of 443 m³/h and a Formaldehyde CADR of 218 m³/h. It offers five layers of air filtration.

Mijia Smart air purifier 6 features a a built-in colour display where information like PM2.5 and PM1 levels, temperature and humidity, can be seen. It can be controlled through the Xiaomi Home App as well. It also supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for compatible voice-control functions.

In its sleep mode, Mijia Smart air purifier 6 can touch up to 32dB. It also has UV-C technology as an additional layer of air treatment that claims to reduce microorganisms present on the filter and along the airflow path. The purifier also features a Negative Ion function, which releases negative ions into the air. It is enabled by default and can be switched off through the Xiaomi Home app.

Mijia Smart air purifier 4 Compact is suited for 400+ sq. ft. space, and features a 3-in-1 filtration system. It has TÜV Rheinland Allergy Care Certification to help filter common airborne allergens such as pollen and dust.

Mijia Smart air purifier 4 Compact has a four-colour air quality indicator for visual reference, with green representing good air quality, followed by yellow, orange and red as detected pollution levels increase.

It features an Auto Mode that automatically adjust purification speed based on the air quality it detects. Users can also select Sleep Mode (20dB) for quieter operation or Manual Mode.

Mijia Smart air purifier 4 Compact weighs just 2.2kg. It can be controlled through the Xiaomi Home app as well and offers compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant devices.

Alongside the launch of Mijia by Xiaomi, Xiaomi is bringing back the Xiaomi Smart air purifier 4 Lite, ffering up to 360m³/h Particle CADR and effective coverage of 269–463 sq. ft., designed for bedrooms, living rooms and home offices.

It offers three-layer filtration system with a primary filter, high-efficiency filter and activated carbon to tackle common airborne particles and household odours, along with TÜV Rheinland Allergy Care Certification. It claims 33.4dB sound in Night Mode, offers real-time air-quality monitoring and smart controls through the Xiaomi Home app.

Mijia Smart air purifier 6 will sell at ₹19,999, while the Mijia Smart air purifier 4 Compact will be priced at ₹7,999. The Xiaomi Smart air purifier 4 Lite will come at at ₹12,999.
