US air museum to reopen as storm-damaged World War II hangar finds new owner for $1

An 83-year-old World War II-era blimp hangar in Oregon, US, was sold for just $1 after a storm tore a 200-foot hole in its roof in December 2025.

The historic building, which houses the Tillamook Air Museum, was purchased by a nonprofit organisation and is set to reopen on October 29 after nearly 10 months of closure.
