A New Jersey town agreed to spend $13.4 million to preserve 50 acres once eyed for dense housing

In an impactful move, Denville Township has acquired seventeen acres dedicated to an essential land preservation effort, shielding around fifty acres from encroaching residential developments.

This initiative also includes a plan to add thirty-three more acres by October 2026, ultimately creating a welcoming public park and safeguarded natural area to maintain Denville's unique heritage and ecology for future generations to enjoy.
