9-year-old girl dies day after falling down school stairs in Telangana

A nine-year-old girl named Varnika died Friday after a fall down school stairs.

She lost her balance and sustained serious injuries on Thursday.

School staff quickly shifted her to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The incident was captured on the school's CCTV cameras.

Police have not yet received a formal complaint regarding the unfortunate event.
