Sri Lanka Easter bombings: 15 convicts sentenced to over 200 years in jail

A Sri Lankan court has convicted 15 people over their involvement in the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings, sentencing them to more than 200 years in prison each.

The attacks killed nearly 270 people and injured more than 500.

The Catholic Church welcomed the verdict, saying it brought a sense of justice to the victims and their families.
