The 17th edition of Koti Vishnu Nama Parayanam, involving the chanting of Vishnu Sahasranamam 10,000 times in a single day, will be held at VRG Thirumana Mandapam, Edayarpalayam, Coimbatore, on September 20 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The event is being organised by Vishnu Sahasranama Mandali, Kavundampalayam, Sri Maha Sasthru Seva Sangam, Tatabad, Sai Lakshmi Caterers, Ramnagar, and other Vishnu Sahasranama mandalis.
The chanting will begin around 7.45 a.m. after Ganapathi Homam, Gou Pooja and Maha Sankalpam. Devotees can participate virtually through the Mahasasthru YouTube channel. The organisers said online participants could communicate the number of chanting repetitions completed by 3 p.m. on the day. A book, Dharmacharyan , featuring rare stutis, information on temples based on the Shanmatha tradition, and aspects of Dharma Sastras, will also be brought out during the event.
