£17.7m revamp planned for 800-year-old Haverfordwest Castle, reopening in 2028

Haverfordwest Castle in Pembrokeshire, Wales, is undergoing a £17.7 million transformation designed to turn the 800-year-old fortress into a major tourist attraction.

The project will feature an immersive visitor centre, café, local shop, Christmas markets and a 500-seat outdoor events space.

The castle is expected to reopen in 2028 with free entry for visitors.
