A political controversy has emerged after Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha's name was deleted from the Punjab Special Intensive Revision (SIR) electoral draft list, where he has been marked as permanently shifted.

Crying vendetta politics ahead of elections, Chadha alleged revenge politics by the Bhagwant Mann government.

Countering the claims, the Aam Aadmi Party stated the SIR exercise is conducted by the Centre and alleged Chadha is attempting a backdated entry to shift to Delhi.

With the final list expected on October 12, an appeal window remains open.
