UK girl gave dad £500 to build mushroom house; it later won Shed of the Year

A 12-year-old girl in Surrey gave her father £500 from her savings to build a mushroom-shaped house in their garden.

Ben Swanborough created a two-storey hideaway featuring a trapdoor, stained-glass windows, a glass floor overlooking a stream and a glass roof for stargazing.

The unusual structure went on to win the 2017 Shed of the Year competition.
