Apple is preparing for a new event, titled ‘Welcome home,’ which is set to take place on October 13.
The new event was announced via a short teaser video shared by the iPhone-maker’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Greg “Joz” Joswiak.
The video showed two people working to create a colourful, hand-embroidered version of the Apple logo, as well as sewing the event name and timing. The overall atmosphere of the video focused on togetherness, cozy comfort, speed, the beauty of crafting by hand, and customisation.
Users online speculated that the new event could be a smart home product launch, such as a smart speaker or control centre.
However, during Apple’s iPhone launch event last month, new CEO John Ternus repeatedly stressed that the company’s iPhone played the role of a smart home device, since it covered all of the users’ personal needs through its build and features.
The company’s new ‘Welcome home’ event comes about a month after its annual iPhone launch event, which saw the unveiling of the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone Duo foldable, AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12, and Apple Watch Ultra 4.
