There was only darkness: Nepal flood survivor recalls 9 days underground | Survivor story

After surviving nine days trapped underground following Nepal’s devastating glacier-triggered floods, hydropower worker Sanjay Sah has finally returned home.

Surviving on floodwater in complete darkness, Sah says faith and thoughts of his family kept him alive until rescuers reached him.

His emotional reunion comes as the search continues for thousands still missing.
