N-Gen post offices will offer easy access to services, says Joshi

“The Union government has set up N-Gen digital friendly post offices to provide fast and convenient services to the younger generation. These are being set up on university and college campuses,” Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said in Dharwad on Sunday.

He was speaking after inaugurating a renovated N-Gen Post Office at Vidyagiri.

“These modern offices have been designed keeping in mind the needs of the next generation (N-Gen). Students and young people will have access to state-of-the-art digital services in a convenient environment there,” he said.

“This initiative will help people benefit from technology. There are more than 100 N-Gen post offices across the country. The first such office was opened on the IIT Delhi campus in November 2025. Postal services are being strengthened in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India,” he said.

Postal Services director of North Karnataka Division Shriharsha N., JSS secretary Ajit Prasad, senior superintendent of the Belagavi Postal Division Arushi Sharma and others were present.
