Retail trade turnover during 8M 2026 above last-year figure — Russian Industry Ministry

OMSK, October 8. /TASS/. The retail trade turnover in Russia gained more than 5% as of the end ofg January - August 2026, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Roman Chekushov said.

"The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade support the multi-format pattern. The results of moving along this path speak for themselves - the retail trade turnover increased by more than 4% as of the end of 2025. Its incremental growth is also more than 5% during the current eight months," Chekushov said in a video address.

The sector passed through a serious transformation in recent years and accumulated domestic solutions in the sphere of software, equipment and transport, the official said. "Provision of consumer rights acts as a cornerstone in this regard. They must have an opportunity to buy high quality and safe products by any convenient method," Chekushov stressed.
