Russian forces strike Darnitsa locomotive depot in Kiev — top brass
MOSCOW, August 22. /TASS/. Russian forces struck the Darnitsa locomotive depot, a key facility of Ukraine’s Southwestern Railways, as they delivered a combined strike targeting a transport infrastructure facility and a logistics center in and outside Kiev last night, Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a morning report on Saturday.
"Last night, the Russian Armed Forces delivered a combined strike on a transport infrastructure facility and a logistics center in the city of Kiev and the Kiev Region, using land-launched precision-guided weapons and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles. In Kiev, the Darnitsa locomotive depot, a key facility of Ukraine’s Southwestern Railways for maintenance and repairs of the locomotive fleet supplying weapons and military equipment to the Ukrainian army, was struck," the report reads.
Russian forces struck the Brovary logistics center, a major sorting facility of Nova Poshta, where components for UAVs were stored, in an attack on the Kiev Region, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported. "In the Kiev Region, the Brovary logistics center, a major sorting facility of Nova Poshta that was used for the storage of components and finished products for long-and medium-range fixed-wing UAVs, was struck," the ministry specified.
Russian forces struck warehouses with military property and POL tanks supplying the Ukrainian army at the ports of Chernomorsk and Yuzhny on Saturday, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported. "Warehouses with military property and POL tanks supplying the Ukrainian army were struck at the ports of Chernomorsk and Yuzhny on August 22," the ministry said.
