Ukraine unable to intercept new models of Russia’s Geran drones — newspaper

LONDON, September 1. /TASS/. Ukraine is facing difficulties intercepting new models of Russia’s Geran drones, The Guardian reported.

According to the newspaper, the new-model drones have a cruising speed of about 400 kilometers per hour, roughly twice that of the piston-engine version, making them extremely difficult for Ukraine to intercept.

The paper added that Russia had begun manufacturing and deploying its latest jet-powered drones in significant numbers in the spring.
