M60 traffic live: Motorway blocked after two crashes cause four-mile tailbacks
Two stretches of the M60 motorway in Greater Manchester are closed this afternoon following two separate crashes.
The first collision happened on the anticlockwise carriageway at Junction 15 (Swinton Interchange) shortly before 2.30pm, according to traffic monitoring service Inrix.
The second collision, which National Highways reported at around 3pm, led to the closure of two lanes on the clockwise carriageway between Junction 1 (Stockport Pyramid) and Junction 2 (Cheadle Heath).
Inrix says: "Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to accident on M60 clockwise from J1 A5145 Travis Brow (Stockport Pyramid) to J2 A560 Stockport Road (Cheadle Roscoes Roundabout)."
The incident at the Swinton Interchange appears to have cleared, according to traffic maps.
