Sean O'Grady | Tom Place , News Reporter 2 minutes ago Jay-Z has stunned fans by appearing at an immersive installation in London’s Trafalgar Square launched to celebrate his upcoming concerts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The rapper, 56, will be performing on September 4 and 5 as part of his Jay-Z 30 tour, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of his sixth album, The Blueprint.

From September 1-5, the installation features televisions from the era screening music videos, performances and period programming, transporting audiences back to 2001 and the cultural moment surrounding The Blueprint.

The gigs will mark the first time Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has performed in the UK since 2018 when he performed with his wife Beyonce on their On The Run II Tour.

His last solo British performance was on the Magna Carter World Tour in October 2013.

The installation will feature televisions from the era screening music videos, performances and period programming (Yui Mok/PA) The rapper began the tour with three shows in July at Yankee Stadium in New York City.

After his London shows, he will perform in Saint-Denis, France and Inglewood, California in October.

Jay-Z is one of the most successful music artists in history, with more than 125 million records sold.

According to Forbes , he is also the wealthiest musical artist in history, with an estimated net worth of 2.6 billion US dollars (£1.9 billion) in 2026.
