London St Pancras - live: Evacuation and controlled explosion near King's Cross

London St Pancras train station has been evacuated while emergency services deal with an ongoing incident.

East Midlands Railway said passengers had been asked to leave London St Pancras station while emergency services responded.

TfL said the main and north entrances to King’s Cross St Pancras Underground station were closed at the request of the Metropolitan Police due to an unattended vehicle.

The Underground station itself remains in full operation, according to TfL, while further information about the incident is awaited.

Traffic is partially blocked and queues are building on Pancras Road in both directions due to the incident outside St Pancras Station, according to AA traffic.

The disruption is between Euston Road and Goods Way, with a diversion in place. Bus route 214 is also affected.

We have contacted both the British Transport Police and Metropolitan Police for further information about the incident.

King’s Cross St Pancras station has now fully reopened following the earlier disruption, according to TfL Access on X.

Authorities have not yet released further information about the unattended vehicle which prompted the closure of entrances at King’s Cross St Pancras.

A person on X has asked whether others heard a loud noise around St Pancras and King’s Cross amid the ongoing incident.

They wrote: “Anyone hear a loud bang at St Pancras/Kings Cross station?”

There has been no official confirmation of any loud bang or what may have caused it.

London St Pancras has been evacuated while emergency services deal with an ongoing incident.

East Midlands Railway confirmed on X that passengers had been asked to leave the station and said further information would follow.
