READ MORE: The NME 100: essential emerging artists for 2026 The London-based Irish band released their self-titled five-song EP in May and now they have followed it up with this new track, released yesterday (August 19) via Polydor Records. ‘Figure 8’ was produced by the acclaimed producer Dan Carey ( Fontaines D.C. , Kae Tempest , Wet Leg ) and mixed by Rich Costey, whose credits include Arctic Monkeys and Bruce Springsteen .
The song sees frontman Barry ‘Baz’ Quinlan’s moody vocals jostling for supremacy with squalling, urgent guitars and a tight, propulsive rhythm.
Listen to ‘Figure 8’ here: Describing the song’s origins, Quinlan has said: “‘Figure 8’ is the product of crying quietly so your flatmates don’t hear you.” The band have been playing festivals around Europe this summer and are set to open for Wunderhorse in Belfast and Cork next week, before appearances at Reading & Leeds , Electric Picnic and Iceland Airwaves.
They are also set to play a UK and Ireland headline tour later this year, including a show at London’s Electric Ballroom.
