A police cordon is in place following the incident near Heaton Park which an air ambulance attended and emergency service vehicles have gathered near the Royal Oak pub on Whittaker Lane.
Greater Manchester Police blocked access to Whittaker Lane while the Metrolink stop at Heaton Park has been closed in both directions since around 6.30pm.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Police were called around 5.40pm on Tuesday (22/09/26), to reports of a stabbing on Whittaker Lane, Prestwich. Emergency services attended and two teenage boys were taken to hospital. Enquiries are ongoing.
