The streaming service has unveiled its 2026 songs of the summer, with the US pop star coming out on top with the chart-topping track.

The track debuted at number one on the UK singles chart, and soared to the top of Spotify’s global chart where it remained for 22 days.

US singer-songwriter Ella Langley has also been praised for her “summer anthem” with Choosin’ Texas, which went viral on social media.

The country track spent 98 days on Spotify’s global top 50, with its biggest listening day on June 12, and the streaming service said it has spent 70 days at number one in the US this summer.

Dai Dai by Shakira and Burna Boy was also named one of Spotify’s songs of the summer due to its “infectious” and “unifying” nature.

The track spent 37 days at the number one spot on Spotify’s global charts, and was the most streamed music video on the platform.
