Wembley fire - live: 'Explosion' near stadium with 125 firefighters in Neasden

A huge fire has broken out near Wembley Stadium in London following reports of an explosion, with a massive column of smoke seen pouring into the sky.

Around 125 firefighters and twenty fire engines are tackling the blaze, which broke out on Hannah Close in Neasden.

The London Fire Brigade have warned residents in the immediate area to "close doors and windows" and remain inside where possible due to the massive smoke plume.

A statement from the fire service said: "Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters are responding to a fire on Hannah Close, Neasden. Residents in the immediate area should close doors and windows, remaining inside where possible, due to the large amount of smoke being produced."

It has caused a massive plume of smoke to rise above north west London. The cause of the blaze remains unclear.

The entire Metropolitan Line has been suspended due to the ongoing blaze.

"No service on the entire line while we respond to a fire alert at Neasden," TfL said.

Residents near the fire in Neasden have been asked to close their doors and windows, and to remain inside where possible.
