Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal to sign Monaco ’s Lamine Camara as a replacement for Enzo Fernandez in an eleventh-hour Deadline Day transfer.

Argentina’s Fernandez joined Manchester City in a £125m transfer earlier in the day , and it was unclear whether the Blues would move to replace him before the window closed.

But Standard Sport understands they have since pressed ahead in negotiations and agreed a €55m (£47m) deal. The player will sign a six-year contract, with an option for a further year.
