The agreement signed between Iran and the US in June is set to run out today, with no breakthrough in sight for permanent peace talks.
However, Tehran says there was “no provision” for a deadline in the agreement and that Iran “never formulates it policies under pressure, ultimatums or time limits”.
It says that the time period was for negotiations to continue but that “gross and widespread US violations” made the deal irrelevant.
