Edgware Road incident - live: Station closed as police close off huge London area

A huge police cordon is in place in Edgware Road, north-west London , with the Tube station on the street closed as emergency services deal with a serious incident.

Videos shared on social media show multiple police vehicles and other emergency crews outside the underground station , while part of the street has been closed off.

Transport for London (TfL) says on its website: "This station is closed while police respond to an incident. Tickets are being accepted on London Buses."

Closures are in place on multiple roads, including Marylebone Flyover, Marylebone Road and Edgware Road.

Closures are in place on Marylebone Flyover, Marylebone Road and Edgware Road, as well as nearby roads, according to Google Maps. Traffic appears to be heavy on surrounding roads.
