Ismaila Sarr dream transfer amid Liverpool interest as stance perfectly clear

Ismaila Sarr declared his love for Manchester United before Liverpool held an interest in signing him. The Crystal Palace winger was the subject of transfer speculation as Anfield chiefs searched for another wide forward in the summer transfer window.

Andoni Iraola eventually secured his key target, Bradley Barcola , signing the ex-Paris Saint-Germain star for an eye-watering £123million. However, Sarr was among the targets on the Liverpool manager's wishlist, along with Brighton's Yankuba Minteh .

The Reds pivoted to the Senegal international after they failed in a move for Minteh. However, Sarr admitted during the summer that his dream transfer was actually one of Liverpool's biggest rivals.

Speaking during the World Cup , the winger admitted: "My dream club? Honestly, there is only one club. I love Manchester United with all my heart, and I am one of its biggest fans.
