Tributes paid as woman found dead at Houghton Festival named as Ibiza DJ Santanna Oush

Tributes have been paid as police confirm that the woman who died at Houghton Festival in Norfolk was Ibiza DJ Santanna Oush.

Earlier this month it was revealed that police were investigating the death of a woman who was found dead in her tent at the 2026 event .

Her identity was not shared at the time, but it was confirmed that she was found unconscious in a tent on a campsite on the last day of the festival.

She was pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday (August 9), despite efforts by on-site personnel to save her.

Police said they do not believe there were any suspicious circumstances, and in a statement shared on the festival’s Instagram page, organisers said they were “deeply saddened to confirm that a person has passed away at Houghton 2026”.

“Our thoughts are entirely with their family and loved ones at this difficult time.

We are grateful to our onsite medical team, event response team and to Norfolk Constabulary, who all responded immediately.” View this post on Instagram Now, the woman in question has been confirmed to be Ibiza DJ Santanna Oush, real name Santanna Maria Ally.

She was identified by a friend at the festival, and her sister Katy later confirmed the identity (via North Norfolk News ).

Lynn News reports that an inquest was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court, and coroners said that suicide was the provisional cause of death.

The London-born DJ lived and worked in Ibiza for years and was a prominent part of the live music scene there – playing with artists including Confidence Man , KI/KI and Kölsch throughout her career.

She also helped found the OuShe parties, which were held at the Pikes venue in Ibiza and celebrated women in music.

In a tribute, Pikes described Santanna Oush as “truly inimitable”.

“Having been a part of the Pikes family for well over a decade, our entire team is shocked, saddened and heartbroken at the news of her passing,” their tribute read.

“Santanna, we are so beyond grateful to you for sharing your art, your music and your incredible voice with us at Pikes for all these years.
