Harry Kane breaks ANOTHER record as Bayern Munich star makes Ballon d'Or statement
Harry Kane has made more Bundesliga history after scoring his 100th goal in the German top flight quicker than any player in history.
The Bayern Munich frontman was on hand to notch a brace as the Bavarians hammered Union Berlin 7-0, which took his tally into triple figures. Kane has been relentless since joining the German giants in 2023 and his 100th goal came in just his 98th game in the Bundesliga.
That took his tally to 152 goals in 154 appearances in all competitions since he moved to Bayern three years ago, but a greater show of the speed at which he's scored is that the previous record holder, Dieter Muller, needed 129 games to score his century.
Bayern great Gerd Muller, a World Cup winner with Germany, is regarded as one of the game's greatest strikers and remains the Bavarian's all-time leading scorer, but he needed 136 games to score his first 100 goals.

Kane told Sky Germany : "I'm very proud to reach 101 Bundesliga goals. In the short time I've been here, I've loved every second of it. When I'm playing with these players I'm going to get chances. To have more goals than games is obviously a great stat to have."
The England striker scored a staggering 61 goals in 51 games last season in all competitions for Vincent Kompany's side. This year he's also started with a bang and has scored six in seven as he continues to put himself in the mix for the Ballon d'Or, which will be awarded in London later this year.
If Kane won the award he would be the first Englishman to claim the Golden Ball since Michael Owen in 2001, but has notable competition, not least from team-mate Michael Olise.
The Frenchman, who was named the Bundesliga's best player last year ahead of Kane, struck a hat-trick in the 7-0 demolition of Union Berlin on Friday night. Both men have excelled on the club scene and they also both saw their World Cup journeys ended at the semi-finals back in the summer.
Kane has subtly suggested that, whilst he won't make any Ballon d'Or forecasts, his numbers last year "speak for themselves".
"I've never liked to talk about myself too much," he said in an interview with Marca. "The only thing I would say is that last season was incredible, on a personal level and as a team. It was, by far, the best season of my life.
"It's true that to finish on 73 goals, the second-highest tally in history, speaks for itself. I'm extremely proud of that. I can only thank my teammates and everyone who has helped me to make that possible. But the Ballon d'Or is not in my hands."
