Falmouth docks bomb squad live: Suspected unexploded ordnance found

A suspected bomb has been found at Falmouth Docks with homes evacuated.

The bomb squad is rushing to the scene with a 150-metre cordon installed by Devon and Cornwall Police with the perimeter covering land and sea.

Two homes have been evacuated and the public has been asked to avoid the area.

Other emergency services in attendance include a military explosive ordnance disposal team from HM Coastguard and Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service. Navigational warnings have also been sent out, with vessels asked to keep away from the area.

People are urged to avoid Falmouth Docks with a cordon in place as the bomb squad examinines a suspected unexploded ordnance device.

There has been no update from police since they confirmed a 150m cordon has been established around the location, which takes in land and sea, while enquiries and assessment work was carried out.
